Brass Plugins: Outlooker
Outlook is a really handy app. Emails, tasks, calendar,
notes and more all stored in one place. And even better it has a
huge user interface that takes over half your screen!
Outlooker interfaces with Outlook and displays
your tasks, emails, notes, calendar items - whatever you want -
in a very nice little display panel. You can choose any items (and
any subset of those items) to display. Even better, Outlooker supports
the Brass 100% configuration system which allows you to drag, drop
and redesign the display with a few mouse clicks.
Outlooker doesn't even require Outlook to be open
and running on your system - you can see all your information without
even opening Outlook!
Outlooker is compatible with Outlook 2000, XP
and 2003 (known issues), and works in both
Stand-alone and Corporate (Microsoft Exchange) modes.

Known Issues
There are currently a couple of "bugs" you may find when
using Outlooker. None of these are actually a problem with Outlooker
itself.
- The first time you use the Send/Receive
icon in Outlooker you may have to click it twice to actually start
the mail check. This is a fault in the Outlook interface
and has been reported to Microsoft. For some unknown reason, and
depending on whether you have Outlook loaded when Outlooker is
running, the first Send/Receive always appears to work (no errors)
but sometimes actually does nothing.
- When creating a new e-mail (clicking the
new mail icon) in Outlooker, a PGP error sometimes appears.
This also appears to be an error in the PGP plugin for Outlook
- there is probably a race condition or similar that causes PGP
to do something before Outlook is ready for it. This is also not
a fault in Outlooker and only occurs if you have the PGP Outlook
addin installed.
