Brass Plugins: Mime
Backing Up Your Gestures
You really don't want to lose all your gestures
once you've spent time creating them. To back up your existing configuration,
simply copy the <your username>_gestureconfig.nfo file from
the Plugins/Mime directory to a safe location. For example, if your
username is "32bits", the file will be called "32bits_gestureconfig.nfo".
You might want to back up the entire contents of
the Mime directory just in case. This will keep all your gestures,
criteria plugins and exclusions safe.
Restoring Your Gestures
To restore the data, make sure Mime isn't running
then copy all the files from the safe location back into the Plugins/Mime
directory. The next time Mime runs it will pick up the restored
files. This technique can be used to copy the Mime config to a different
computer. Please check your license agreement before doing this
though.
Changing Your Username
Maybe you changed your Windows username, or you
copied your gesture configuration to a different computer where
you're using a different username. To enable Mime to recognise the
gesture file as yours, simply make sure the gestureconfig.nfo filename
contains your username at the start.
For example, if the file is currently called "32bits_gestureconfig.nfo"
and I move it to my laptop where my username is "coder99",
I would rename the file to "coder99_gestureconfig.nfo".
Gesture config files are based on your username
to allow multiple users on the same computer to have a different
gesture configuration.
