The Custom Action Wizard: Adding
an Action
Adding an action is exactly the same as the process
for adding an application, with 2 exceptions.
First, the application you want to add the action
to must already exist. Second, you have the option of using an existing
action as a template for the new action. In a lot of cases custom
actions for an application are very similar with maybe a directive
or 2 changed - using a template makes the creation process much
quicker.
Because the overall process is the same as adding
an application we'll just see the 2 extra Wizard pages for adding
an action. When you start the Wizard the first page you are prompted
with is the "Select an existing application" page.

Simply select the application you want to add the
action to and click "Next".
The second page you are prompted with is the "Select
an action for templatizing".

Here is where you can choose an existing action
for the selected application to use as a template. You still must
complete each Wizard step as normal, the difference is that all
fields will be pre-filled in with the templated action's settings
for you.
